︎︎︎ Charles

My name is Charlie's Turner and I'm a visual artist from Lancashire.

For my book thirteen artifacts, I collected objects while commuting in Manchester, I photographed and cut the objects out of their background in photoshop. Isolating them like this gave the objects a sort of archival quality.

I realised that what I was doing was a sort of excavation. Usually you have to dig pretty deep into the ground if you want to find something special, but I wanted to use objects that were easily accessible because as time passes, the things around us become more and more historically significant

The book is meant to be a sort of time captual for this reason
